Low alloy steel plate, refers to the steel plate whose alloy content is less than 3.5%. The most popular low alloy steel plate is hardness of EN1522 FB7 steel, Q345B plate and its equivalent materials such as S355JR, A572 grade 50 and so on. Low alloy steel plate plays an important role in the construction, it must have enough strength and stability to bear the safety of the house. Low alloy steel plate is often used in large buildings with large bearing capacity and good cross-section stability, such as bridges, ships, lifting and transportation machinery, etc.
During the steel plate cutting, the special-shaped steel plate cutting process is often carried out. In this operation process, some cutting curves will be generated. Therefore, there should be relatively high precision standards during the processing of hardness of EN1522 FB7 steel. The operators need to have rich experience, and they also need to be proficient in the operation methods and working skills of the equipment, so as to ensure that the steel plate can meet the shape requirements after processing.
As per JIS G3101 standard, the Carbon (C), Silicon (Si) and Manganese (Mn) content of SS400 steel plate are not controlled. Phosphorus (P) content of hardness of EN1522 FB7 steel, JIS SS400 steel plate is 0.050% Max and Sulphur (S) content is 0.050% Max. The SS400 steel melting point is 1430 Degree Celsius, Brinell Hardness is 160HB, density is 7.85g/cm3, Young’s Modulus is 190-210Gpa. The strength and elongation of JIS SS400 steel plate varies with thickness. Generally, the tensile strength of SS400 steel plate is 400-510 Mpa. Elongation is above 21%. Yield strength ≥245Mpa for thickness≤16mm. When the JIS SS400 steel plate is thciker than 100mm, the yield strength shall not less than 205Mpa.
