316 Vs 304: ASTM 316L(1.4404) is a low-carbon austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel. Due to the addition of 2-2.5% molybdenum, the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel 316L is significantly better than that of the standard austenitic grades 304 and 304L, yield strength of EN1522 FB5. The 1.4404 material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion when welded! but not resistant to sea water. Best corrosion resistance is given with a polished surface. This material is comparable to 1.4401.
ST37-2 is a kind of low carbon steel with carbon content of 0.20%, similar to S235JR or Q235 yield strength of EN1522 FB5. It's not as strong as common ASTM A36, but it is also widely applied by everyday uses and structural applications where high strength is not so important. Equal ST37-2 angle steel size: yield strength of EN1522 FB5 Size: 20 × 20 mm to 200 × 200 mm. Thickness: 3 - 35 mm. Length: 6 m, 9 m or as required. Unequal ST37-2 angle steel size: yield strength of EN1522 FB5 Size: 30 × 20 mm to 250 × 90 mm. Thickness: 3 to 10 mm. Length: 6 m, 9 m, 12 m or per your request.
